What kind of personal data do we process and for which purposes?

We process the data you have submitted to us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the job (or, as the case may be, other vacancies in our enterprises) and to carry out the application process.

 

What is the legal basis for this?

The legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is primarily § 26 BDSG [German Federal Data Protection Act] in the version effective from 25 May 2018. It permits the processing of data that are required in the context of the decision about entering into an employment contract.

 

Should these data be required, as the case may be, for prosecution purposes after conclusion of the application process, data processing may take place on the basis of the conditions pursuant to Art. 6 GDPR (DSGVO), in particular, for the safeguarding of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our interest in such an event then consists in the assertion of or defence against claims.

 

For how long are data stored?

In the event of refusal, candidates’ data will be deleted after a period of six months.

 

Should you have consented to the continued storage of your personal data, we will include your data in our applicant pool. Data stored in this applicant pool will be deleted after a period of two years.

 

Should you have been successful in securing a position in the context of the application procedure, your data will be transferred from the candidate data system to our human resources information system.

 

Who are the recipients of your personal data?

Our enterprise is a full subsidiary of Integrationswerkstätten gGmbH Niederlausitz. The application process is conducted by the parent organisation, that is, Integrationswerkstätten gGmbH Niederlausitz. This means that the employees responsible for the application process at Integrationswerkstätten gGmbH Niederlausitz will receive your personal data. After receipt of your application, your candidate data are reviewed by the human resources department. Suitable applications are then forwarded to the department heads responsible for the respective vacancy. This is followed by coordination of the further procedure. As a rule, only those people within the enterprise have access to your personal data who require it for the proper procedure of our application process.

 

Where are the data processed?

The data are processed exclusively in data centres in the European Union.

 

Your rights as the ‘data subject’

You have the right to information about the personal data relating to you that we process.

In the event of a request for information that does not follow the written form we may have to ask you for proof that you are the person you claim to be. We apologise for any inconvenience.

 

You moreover have the right to rectification or erasure or restriction of processing to the extent of your legal entitlement.

 

You also have the right to object to processing within the limits of statutory regulations. In particular, pursuant to Art. 21 Para. 1 and 2 GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes where these are based on a weighing of interests.

 

If your personal data are processed based on your consent, you have the right to revoke your consent with us at any time with effect for the future.
